In short
Altiko sends nothing. The app has no server connection and contacts no address on the internet while it runs. Location, air pressure and compass heading are processed on your device alone, to show altitude, speed and heading. There is no account, no tracking, no analytics, no crash reporting and no ad network.

2. What the app processes
Altiko shows altitude, speed and heading. To do so it reads the following, always on the device and never in transit:

The app keeps no track log. Closing it discards every reading; the next start begins from scratch.
3. Legal basis
Location is processed on the basis of your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You give it through your operating system's own dialog and can withdraw it at any time in the device settings. Without that permission the app cannot show altitude or speed; everything else still works.
The four stored settings are necessary to provide the function you asked for, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
4. No transfer to third parties
Altiko transmits nothing to us or to anyone else. The app contains no networking code for normal operation: no analytics library, no crash reporter, no ad network, no push messages, no proxy server.
5. Advertising
At the foot of the screen the app alternates between three sponsor references written into the program code. There is no ad network, no advertising identifier (IDFA / Android Advertising ID), no personalisation and no measurement of impressions or clicks. Which reference is visible depends on the clock, not on you.
Tapping one opens the sponsor's website or store listing in a separate app. From that moment the sponsor's own privacy policy applies; we learn nothing about the visit.
6. Permissions
- Location (while using the app) – required for altitude and speed. Altiko requests no background location and measures nothing while closed.
- Motion & Fitness (iOS only) – access to the pressure sensor for the more precise altitude.
7. Retention
Readings exist only while the app runs. The four settings stay on the device until you uninstall. No deletion request is needed: uninstalling removes everything Altiko has stored, completely and by your own hand.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Since we receive no personal data from you, we cannot provide information about you — there simply is none on our side. For questions, write to datenschutz@smettly.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria that is the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna.
9. Children
The app is not directed at children and knowingly collects no data from them. As no data is transmitted at all, none accumulates here either.
10. Changes
If the app's functionality changes, we update this policy. The version published, with the date given above, is the one that applies.
